Ramblin', Ramblin', Ramblin', Keep those words a comin'

I've decided I'm going to use the internet as my support group. I know some of you ladies out there are wonderful peeps, so here I go. The one thing I miss the most about the Bible study group,is the adult conversations, and the sounding boards those wonderful women were. They were kind but honest.

We are going to have a Vacation Bible School at my church this summer. Of course we are on a tight budget, although if anything was needed I'm sure the wonderful people would give untill their pockets were empty. My Mom had noticed that in her Sunday School class the kids didn't even know the basic bible stories. So, we decided that we would do the Bible Heroes. My mom knows I love this stuff and I'm the queen of finding stuff on the net so she set me loose. I have many great things. I figured I'll share with you in case you need it.

I found these amazing things Memory Cross scripture helpers. It up at memorycross.com/VBS

I think they are so inventive. I also looked at that and said, hmmmm I should be able to figure out how that is done. So, I obsessed a little and figured it out. I put a picture of it on the side of my blog, but i'm not sure I did it right. I'm telling you, if you are a children's church director I think they will be a great addition. Maybe as treats. There is also some you can give out at halloween and valentines day. It's worth the trip over there.

Next website called ebibleteacher.com it's a great resource site and they have made up these wonderful bible trading cards. I think they would be great for any childrens church plus they have many sunday school lessons. They also have songs.

Lets see. Next, we have a website called www.homeword.ws they have great coloring pages. I think that they would make a great ministry for a church. Have the coloring pages or maybe the bulletin inserts for your church.

I think that's all for the moment. It's spring break and i have childrens running literally all over the house. I post more later.

YOoooo Gabagaba

If you don't have preschoolers you may not know this name. It's a new show that my girls love. Phoebe especially. She is at this moment dancing around with the characters. It's so cute. I wish I had a camera. They have a section on the show where they make funny faces. I'm telling you people it's funny stuff. There have been some people that have had troubles with some of the shapes of the characters, but I think it's people making too much of nothing. If you have a preschooler you should check it out.

Fellow ship.....

I grew up in the church. I was born on a Wednesday, and I think my first Sunday was in church. I was there almost every Sunday, Wednesday, and revival meeting. I love the family. I love the atmosphere. I love the culture itself. I remember going to Vacation Bible School every summer and drinking it all in. I loved the way they told stories. One time, when I was about twelve my pastor's wife let me tell part of the story. I was one of three in my church that got the privilege. When it was my turn I went so far into the story and got so carried away I told most of the other persons story.

Sometimes I think in sermon outlines. Sounds funny, but it's true. I will be reading a scripture and there it will be in my head. Or worse, I will be listening to a preacher, and see a different sermon. Then it's very hard to concentrate. My brain keeps yelling, nooo you missed the whole point.

So, I taught children. When I was in college I used to find it so amusing. You get the boys up that want to be preachers, in front of kids, they are terrified. You see kids are deathly blunt. If you are boring, they will tell you, in the middle of your service, in the middle of you sentence.
I love it. I love telling stories and seeing them understand the meaning behind it.
Let me tell you now if you are in a church, and you have a children's church. You need to go right now and hug them and give them a day off.

A couple of years ago I work as a children's church director, well I did everything. I tried asking for help, but the church was just so happy that someone would take care of it they just forgot, or turned a blind eye. I got so burned out. They would bus children in and then, just hand them over. Which I thought was a privilege, but I would ask for just people to come sit in the pews with the children. I remember one summer there was 40 children from the ages of 3 to 13. I know it was mostly my own fault, but I finally could not go on any more. I had to quit. I hated it, but i had to. And then I left that church. It wasn't the people of the church, it was me, I needed some kind of spiritual food.

I still miss teaching children. I miss telling bible stories. I lost a lot of my faith through the years. More so in people than religion. I've written this post in my mind over and over. Debated about posting it. I work very hard to "work out my own salvation through Christ" but it's been so difficult. I used to go to bible study with these wonderful women. I miss them something horrible. I need fellowship... friendship with women, I'm having a hard time find it. I envy people with a ladies ministry in there church. Have any of you ever felt this way?

Proof of the honey and other random notes.

Ok, here is the proof. This is what i saw when I walked by my shoes the other day. I was so aggravated, but I was trying not to laugh too. Oh, she didn't see me smiling at all. I called my sister and asked if she wanted to keep Hannah. I didn't get a picture of her sisters shoes with the toothpaste in them.

Most of the time if you happen to come to my house this is one of the faces you'll see in the front window greeting you. I've tried getting a picture of Baxter in the window but he's too dark, and doesn't show up LOL.

I made some bread the other day and of course had some help. Her are the girls loaves of bread. Aren't they cute?

Here are the girls last Sunday dressed for Sunday school. Please pay no attention to the mess in the background. Look at Hannah posing isn't that hilarious. I can't get Phoebe to just smile nicely to save my life. OOhh yea Baxter has got to be in on everything.

ummmm somebody???

I was in the bathroom tonight and I noticed that there was something funny about PB Joe's shoes. When I took a closer look, I saw that someone had put a rather large glob of toothpaste in each shoe. Now, PB can not reach the toothpaste, and I didn't do it. So, I called in Hannah. First she lied, which I hate with a passion. Then she finally fessed up. I sent her up to her bed while I cleaned the toothpaste out of the shoes and got ready to wash them. Then as I was heading into the laundry room I glanced at my shoes. There was yellow globs in them. Now the former toothpaste was red, so I investigated. People, it was Honey.
Now i would never sell my darling children. I wouldn't give them away, for anything. But if there is anyone out there who think that they need a child to complete their life, and everything will be sunshine and roses. Would you like to borrow my gorgeous child...hummm maybe please for a night or two? I'll take her back I promise.

Fred and George

house we would get a new kitty. Well, we got not one but two. They are not completely identical brothers, but they are close. I named them Fred and George, like the twins from Harry Potter.

Yeah, I know I'm a geek. They are good kitties. We love them. Here are the pictures I promised.

I miss Smokey too. But not long after we got the kitties Hannah said "You know I don't miss Smokey as much now."

This is Fred. He is just as he looks. Layed back

loving.

This is George. He has recently became more loving. He even loved up to my Mom today.
He has been hiding more than Fred, but you never can tell.

SHHHHHH.... it's naptime

When it's naptime at my house everybody sleeps. Actually the dogs are easier to get to sleep than the girls. I say it's naptime and off the dogs go, the girls take a little more work but they eventually get there.

New look, Old me

I thought I would freshen up the old place. The sunflower is a picture I took last summer. I was being all artsy. My brother and father had a large garden and one of the things they planted was sunflowers. I've alway thought they were pretty. Here is another one that just makes me think Home. It's a picture of the back field and the garden itself. Ohhh summer, We are covered in snow at the moment. Which means no going outside much. I can't wait untill this summer. We now have a fenced in backyard and a side porch. We will be living outside. I'm hoping to do some more landscaping too.
We spent a week of the sickies at our house. Everyone was sick except Hannah. We all had the flu, that is hitting the whole country hard. Tommy got sick and of course was in bed, he told me later that he must have gotten a worse version than me. I laughed at him. No, I'm not very politically correct. I just explained that I couldn't stay in bed when I was sick. I still had the girls that had to have me. I tried to be gentle honestly.
We were going through some old boxes in the house the other day and found one of my senior pictures. The girls didn't recognize me. Then I began to think about it. I was seventeen when I had that picture taken. I'm now thirty-six, that was almost 20 years ago. WOW. Time sure flies.
Everytime I pick up my laptop lately I get accosted by my youngest. "Mama, I want to see bake and zoey mama, bake and zoey" Which actually is Blake and Chole Cassady. When I was fifteen I went to youth camp at Central Yearly Meeting of friends. Of all the people I met I remember this funny redheaded boy. I remember him drinking a root beer and stumbling around the swings. I couldn't help but giggle, he was so silly. I thought at the time it was Stephen, a couple of years later James confessed to me that it was him. To be honest I was a little shocked. Stephen was always the joker. James always made himself out as very serious. James was my good friend. I thought of him as a little brother, and loved him as such. Although a lot of people I think, thought it was more. James passed away in a car accident when he was twenty-one. I miss him. I'm sure a lot of other people do also. I've visited his grave a few times. Talked to him. I think of his brother Stephen and sisters Amy, and Amber as brothers and sisters too. I've always been so proud of them. I always knew Stephen would be an awesome preacher, and of course singer. His family is so beautiful. OOHh the red hair. Gorgeous I tell you. On Nicole's blog she has video of Blake and Chole saying scripture and Chole singing "Away in a Manger". They are amazing. Phoebe Jo loves the videos.
Well, I think I'll stop this marathon post for the moment. I hope you like the new look.

Welcome to the funny farm!

All two of you who read me know my house and kids are CRAZY. Lately things have been hilarious around here. I'll give you a few examples.

I'm easing Phoebe Jo into potty training. We just moved and I don't want to push her. We go sit on the potty, and she loves it. So, the other day, we are sitting in the bathroom. She is on her potty and I'm sing songing . "Tinkle, Tinkle, Tinkle" When I notice my chocolate poodle out of the corner of my eye looking at us. So agin I say to Phoebe Jo.. "Tinkle.. Tinkle.. Tinkle " and look up at Pierre. (what he is a chocolate french poodle.. what to you expect...anyways) He looks me straight in the eye and lifts his leg and pee's on the floor. I was dumbfounded. He never does anything like that. I then had to explain that I was talking to the kid on the potty, not the poodle in the hall. LOL

I was explaining to Hannah the other day that she had better do as she was told or she would have to pay the consiquences, to which she said. "Who me mama? But i don't have any money?"
She was serious, i had to leave the room so i wouldn't laugh.

Last night I got a rare treat, that took a month of planning. I went out on a date a real one with like no kids. I got tickets to the Reba Mcentire/Kelly Clarkson concert in indianapolis. It was fabulous. We had tickets in the nose bleeds but we were there. We got better seats, we showed up we at least got to seat on the front row of the nose bleeds. I think I sang all the Reba songs but one from heart. I like Kelly too. It was such a great show, they were both on the stage the whole time, and there was no intermission. I don't get a chance to go to many concerts. I just hope that they will put this out on cd or dvd. There were camera's there.

Hmmmm ... I think thats all for now. I do have the digital so maybe soon pictures of the girls and the new kittens we have.

oohh look there's a chicken

My girls can turn personallities on a dime. One second they are happy smiling, next they are crying. I once saw a tee shirt that cracked me up. I said "Someone says I'm ADD but i don't believe...... Oh look there's a chicken!" So, when they turn like that i jokingly say "oh look there's a chicken" Well, Phoebe keeps hearing me say that, and now she's asking "where?" and looking for the chicken. Tonight she flip flopped again so I popped of " Oh Look there's a chicken" So, she starts "Wherre mama, where's is it?" I was giggling untill I noticed our rotty looking around for the chicken. That was all I could handle. I was laughing so hard, and when i get tickled I cry and i can't see a thing. Just about the time I'd get settled down I look over and Baxter is still looking for that chicken. We think he fits right in! HA!

Program Pieces

In my family I am the researcher. I like to get online and search for different things. So again this year my mom asked me to get on line and search for program pieces. I grew up in a conservative household, and we went to church and were involved in church. So, at Christmas and Easter you had pieces to memorize. Depending on your age and your personality. As I got older it was also songs to sing. It just went with the territory. Now my children are in church, the same one I grew up in, and we are looking for pieces. I didn't realize how hard it is to find them anymore. Maybe you have to buy the books, but a lot of stuff has gone to pre-recorded cd's. Which I can understand for the convenience but it's just not the same. There are a few good resources on line for children's church, but none for simple pieces. Am I that out of date? I like the idea of free resources for children's church too, because I've run several children's ministries on less than a dime. Maybe I should design a website for such a thing. Children's church on less than nothing. what do you think?

ok,,, now i'm stuck

I've moved all of our stuff over into the house. We are living in the bottom of it. But my brother's stuff is stuff is still in the upstairs. He keeps saying he'll be over to get it. But it's been over a week. I will have to clean the carpets upstairs, and move our bedroom furniture. I'm so antsy, I'm trying to be patient. Trying being the operative word. I need more grace or something. I've tried tactfully saying I would help. And nothing. So, I'll be over in the corner, moving the same boxes around and around.

Breathe in.... Breathe out...

Have you every finally accomplished something, and sigh with relief. One of those full body sigh. We are moved people.finally. We still have boxes everywhere, and there is still a couple of rooms that have to be cleared out before we can get things completely accomplished. But we are here. It's such a relief to have my own house.
Let me recap for all the many readers ( yeah right, so indulge me ) who may not understand.
Almost two years ago my parents decided that it was time to build their dream. A log cabin just for them. So, they started out and offered me my childhood home. Unfortunately, the men they hire to build their cabin, were idiots and cons. I began living with my sister, no don't get me wrong, my sister and I get along famously, but after a year and a half it was time to get out.
Now begins the rearranging and organizing and setting up of my very own house. I feel so grown up LOL.

In other news, I cause quite a stir by getting my girls hair cut. Hopefully, soon pictures will follow.
OOOOH and Happy Belated Christmas. and LET THE NEW YEAR BEGIN!!!

I might be able to move in this year but.....

You know I heard someone say that using a But in a sentence is like and eraser. I think I mentioned on here that my parents were building a log cabin. Well, it's been over a year now. The contractor to advantage of my parents. They overpaid him I know and he swindled them, and didn't finish the job. I personally would have fired him months and months ago. I even tried to talk to my mom about it. But i was told quite plainly to but out. So i did. I think they might be moved into their house by December. I have been living with my sister in one room for the last year and a half waiting..... Yeah it's fun. We laugh that when we finally move into the house the four of us will sit in the corner of one room and not know what to do lol. It's going to be interesting living in my childhood home. I have a lot of ideas about decorating. If I can do them might be a completely different thing. I would like to keep a lot of things the same, kinda lol.
I will post a picture when we move in. I also planning a huge party. YOu are all invited, but that will be after i move in and get fairly organized. Yeah, that will be Easter HA!

Well, A lot of help that did me.

When i was at the employment office i saw a flyer stating that if you lost your job through no fault of your own, you may qualify for state paid job training. So, i thought heyyy.. that's me. I've always wanted to be a massage theropist, acupunture, you know that type. So, i get up and drag me and my 23 month old to the office this morning to check into it. yeah, that was no help. She basicly told me there was no way that she would recemend me for the massage theropist. It doesn't work for this area. But if i want to pick something else and do the research to see if it is in demand for the area, she'd consider it. All i was wondering is what was her job supose to be. So, i guess i'm back to the want ads. It's annoying. I'm probably going to have to go to another temp to hire angency. We'll see.
My daughters are rotten as ever. I got them both down for a nap. Hannah went down pretty quick but i've been hearing Phoebe Jo calling. "Mamma, Maammmaa let me out. Hush... mama
amamama, " my sunshine. She's singing something in there now. When she finally goes down it should be for awhile. Here's hoping lol

I guess it leaves more time for blogging

You'll never guess what i was doing yesterday morning. Give up??? Signing up for unemployment. Yes, I am not in the ranks of the unemployed. Which sucks in some ways. Recently the company I was a "administrative assitant " to (read... I answered the phones and did all the jobs no one else would do) was bought out by a bigger company. We knew that there would be cut backs, especially in the office. Well, I was one of the cut backs. They let me go on a Tuesday... right in the middle of boxing up files from the last few years of the company. So, I got myself up early the next day and went down to the unemployment office. In a lot of ways this is a good thing. I really was driving too far (almost a 100 miles round trip) for only 35 hours a week. But I worked there for almost 3 years. What a coinscience, the anniversery of mine was Sept. 20th. YEah right. So, I get to spend sometime with my little darlings. I also saw a flyer at the unemployment office, about getting paid training by the state? I'm pretty sure I qualify for. SO, maybe just maybe i'll be able to go back to school on the state. I've always wanted to be a massage theropist. But untill Monday when I go see about it, everythings up in the air. Now pass me the remote, and lets have fun with the girls. I guess it leaves me more time to blog.

DId ya think i's deaded???

Isn't this a beautiful face LOL. She was mad at someone. I think Alyssa, my niece was taking the picture.

Ihaven't had access to a computer at home anymore soo. I have to post when i can at work.

I will eventually move into the house i grew up in. If the people ever finish the cabin for Mom and Dad. Let's just say there are lawyers about to be involved. FUN FUN. The company i work for has just sold to another company. Soooo, i may be out of a job. I'm not too concerned. I probably should have quit, long ago. It's a long drive, and with gas prices. Yeah you know the rest of that story. We'll see, if i get let go the WHHOO Hooo Unemployment here i come.

I have been enjoying all of the blogs i read. From Nino..... Paris ,lucky you. To Carrie, that i went to college with, and THe sweet southern sister Lisa and Theresa. To Jody, and the Cassidy's. I'm going to have to learn how to do a blog roll. I thought i would also put up some new pictures of my girly girls. The Star (Hannah Banana) and Sunsine (Phoebe Jo) or Peanut butter as her daddy calls her.

Challenge accepted

Here is my little sweet cheeks sunshine. Aren't those pony tail or tony pails as we call them delisshhh.
Here is Hannah the wonder girl. My star. She is on the top rung of the ladder. She only gets to pose at the top. HA!
The next picture is not for the faint of heart or quesy of stomach...... LOOOK AWAY !!!

Ok, so my friend Carrie challenged the readers of her blog to take a silly self portrait and post it. ooohhh man do i hate pictures of me, even from other people but a self portrait.... it's worse. SOoO anyways here it is. It was harder than i thought and i cut off part of my hair and my double chins... maybe the double chin wasn't such a bad idea. lol I look like a serial killer or something. All of you peoples that knew me from bible school will see i cut off all of my hair.

It's so much easier.

Ok... Where do i begin......

* I know it's been awhile. I've been busy. Let's see good things first. Hannah is now mostly potty trained! Yeahhhhhhh!!! I can breathe a small sigh of relief. She is doing it. I think her preschool helped immensely.

* I'm not sure her speech therapy is going so well. I haven't really seen much impovement. Do any of you out there think i'm jumping the gun. Maybe I need to just give it time

* Pheobe Jo was back in the hospital again. We were in the same hospital. She had RSV this time. We got to see the PICU. She is now sleeping, i'm hoping for a good long time. She has to have a breathing treatment everyday. Nightimes are the worst when she sleeps she coughs. Deep hacking coughs. Did I mention I'm a light sleeper and that i'm terrified she is going to stop breathing or choke to death. Coughs = Mom not sleeping

* My Mom and Dad are building a cabin and I will be moving into my childhood home. Maybe in just a couple of months hopefully in a couple of months. Maybe as soon as May. We will probably all sit in the corner of one room in the house for months lol

**** Spoiler Alert****** for Grey's Fans
What is with Izzy sleeping with George??????? Dun Dun DUNNNNNNN

well for that's it for my monthly... ummm bimonthly posts....

Santa may skip our house next year...LOL

No worries, it was just a cheap Santa hat. I was
Trying to get the boys to put it on their heads so i could get some pics. Baxter of course had other ideas
He decided to eat it.
"What?? he came into my house.'

"Aww come on,,, just a little nibble"
He is so funny. You got to love a big dummy. Bless his heart. Things around here are always fun. I've been thinking about the New year. I'm not a big fan of New Year's resolutions. I've tried to have life resolutions. I began when i was almost 30. I have always been a people pleaser I hated it. I decide that I had lived my life for others for 30 years, and now it was my turn. This life resolution, worked for the most part. I told my husband that it was time to ship up or ship out. He choose to ship out, well, kinda i kicked him out. Now i have 2 beautiful daughters that drive me insane. Now, i need to keep going, the girls, and lack of sleep tend to slow me down. I want to be creative. I want to write, draw, to be me. I just looked into schooling. I would like to be a massage therapist. Sooo, we'll see how far i get this year..
I miss telling bible stories. You see, for years and years i was a children's church worker, director. I love telling stories. Most people don't relize that the bible is full of great stories. Every kind of type and size. I think i will try at least once month type up a story. Just for my own enjoyment. Maybe you will get some too.
Stop me if i bore you.
